Forums

Faculty Forums are venues in which faculty can discuss their perspectives on important topics in online teaching and learning. In these informal settings, faculty can share their approaches to teaching and explore pedagogical issues with their colleagues.

Showcases

Faculty Showcases are demonstrations of effective instructional practices that faculty use in their online courses. Faculty show how the strategies and techniques they use may be of benefit to other faculty who are teaching online.

Webcasts

Faculty Webcasts are online presentations that discuss topics of interest in online teaching and leanring. Presentations are live but are recorded and made available for playback. Participants also have the option to attend webcasts via conference call.

Workshops

Workshops are hands-on classes that provide faculty with in-depth training and skills development on how to apply pedagogical principles and effective practices in their online courses. Examples are: how to link course objectives to activities and assessments, how to design authentic assessments, and how to design and effectively use rubrics.

Faculty Summer Institute

Faculty Summer Institute provides resources, training and support for faculty who regularly teach high-demand courses. Faculty selected to participate in the Online Course Development Program receive a professional development stipend, access to technology resources, and production support for the design and teaching of their online course.
